How much is tempered glass per m2?
Installed 8 to 12 mm tempered glass is typically IDR 650k to IDR 1 million per m², and a framed glass canopy IDR 1.3 million to IDR 1.8 million per m². The final price follows glass thickness, hardware, framing and location. Material prices per thickness are on our price list page.
How thick should canopy glass be?
For canopies we recommend laminated or tempered laminated glass, because if it breaks the fragments stay bonded to the interlayer. Common thickness is 10 to 12 mm, depending on panel size and support spacing. We calculate it for your design.
What is the difference between tempered and regular glass?
Tempered glass is heated and rapidly cooled, making it about 4 to 5 times stronger than regular glass of the same thickness. When it breaks it shatters into small blunt pieces, so it is safer. Tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled after processing, so sizes must be right from the start.

Why does tempered glass need lead time?
Tempered glass is processed at the factory to the measured sizes, so there is production time before installation. We give the estimate with the quote.
